Chester Buchanan is a commercial, narrative, and music video director based in Sydney, Australia.
Over his decade of experience, Chester has established a stylised aesthetic, often laced with irreverent humour. Chester always takes a careful and considered approach to cinematography, whether it’s capturing surreal worlds on an elaborate set-build, or dramatic performances in a natural aesthetic. His skills at drawing out subtle and authentic performances from his actors is a defining characteristic of Chester’s body of work.
He won best Direction and Editing at Clipped in 2017 for his music video Next to You by LDRU.
